About Iris Queen & Root-based Healing

Iris Queen is a licensed social worker with nearly 30 years in human services and behavioral healthcare, including 4 years in direct care, 16 years in clinical practice, and over 8 years providing consultation and program oversight to organizations and systems of care. Her work is trauma-responsive, culturally grounded, evidence-based, and holistic—uniting deep professional expertise with lived wisdom. Rooted in purpose and a deep love for humanity, she holds a steadfast belief that every person carries the innate capacity to heal and grow.

 

At Root-based Healing, PLLC, Iris is a visionary leading a multidisciplinary practice that helps individuals and organizations to heal, grow, and thrive. Her work spans two integrated service areas:

• Trauma-Responsive Consultation – Partnering with organizations, both locally and globally, to provide trauma-responsive insight, guidance, and support.
• Psychotherapy – Individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy supporting children (ages 5+), teens, adults, and elders as they navigate trauma, manage life transitions, and address mental health challenges.
