Beyond Clinical Care
While psychotherapy remains at the heart of Root-based Healing, the practice also contributes to broader conversations surrounding trauma recovery, healing, and well-being through the development of ideas, writing, and community engagement.
Writing & Authorship
Root-based Healing also serves as the home of an emerging book project exploring trauma recovery and healing through our RBH lens. As part of this work, Iris continues to refine and develop the Root-based Healing trauma recovery model—an evolving framework that will continue to be explored through future writing and publications. This work will bridge lived experience, clinical understanding, and practical application for both professionals and individuals seeking a deeper understanding of trauma from its origins, through recovery, and into the emergence of healing.
Looking Ahead
Root-based Healing will begin exploring opportunities to expand access to its work beyond the clinical setting. Future initiatives will include educational, supportive, and other offerings designed to make the principles of trauma recovery and healing more accessible. These resources will support clinicians seeking professional development opportunities while also providing access to trauma-responsive education for individuals who may not engage in traditional psychotherapy or reside outside of Washington State.
