Hello, I’m Iris Queen, psychotherapist and founder of Root-based Healing. I opened this boutique psychotherapy practice during the spring of 2025, to offer an intentional recovery space that moves at a pace that honors your lived experience and capacity to heal.
I am a Licensed Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC) with a Masters of Social Work degree. My professional background began in 1997 and includes work in child welfare and advocacy; inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings; mental health court program coordination; judicially supervised treatment oversight; instruction and curriculum development in allied human services and addictions counseling; and clinical consultation.
As the clinician at Root-based Healing, I’m committed to providing care that is thoughtful, steady, and responsive to each patient’s unique recovery process. I offer trauma-responsive psychotherapy for adults on Bainbridge Island and across Washington State.
